Saturday 15 August 2009... what a Day!

This fruit is called ....PULASAN :)

Today was supposed to be time to start some spring cleaning but the plan was hijacked by a trip to one of the salons at The City Mall. I was just leaving the Mall for about five minutes on the way home when the car's engine stopped. luckily there was some space on the road shoulder for me to temporarily stop & park . My worst fear was confirmed - the battery died on me again.I contacted Victor, the Tow Truck driver to come over to see what the problem is this time . yesterday he assured me that battery & the alternator is ok but obviously something else is contributing to the problem. He took about 30 minutes to arrive from kepayan to jalan Lintas near Taman Ria.

Whilst waiting ,which seemed like forever , I was literally drenched in my perspiration. my handkerchief bore testimony to this incident. When Victor finally arrived he suggested that the car be towed directly to the workshop in Inanam . so there I was hitching a ride in Victor's tow truck squeezing the small space with his family & three young boys. Still, it was far more comfortable than to wait in the hot sun by the roadside for my monter to arrive to pick me up. Instead now I waited for my Monter at the workshop's air-conditioned waiting lobby downing a cup of ice cold water .

When I finally got picked up at the workshop to go home, it was time to pick up my old lady from the Salon. I drove another car to the Mall, extremely hungry around 1.30pm. Luckily the snips master offered some coffee & some latest car magazines to take my mind off my hunger. Then my old lady decided to shop for some `must have' items before we leave the mall. I just couldnt stand the hunger pangs without taking something . I settled for an ice-blended corn & a pancake to tide me over before eating lunch of yummy spaggetthi at Hyatt's tanjung Ria restaurant.

Today is also the beginning of my favourite football league EPL & watched my team Arsenal's 'new look' squad actually whipped Everton 6-1 , a difficult team to play with on most occasions especially in their home ground. At least this result was able to console me after a trying day of miscued plans.

Hope you'll have a better day. By the way is Monter a Monster? Just kidding.
